A quick reminder that all successes take a village.

I hope you don’t think your idols ‘got there’ without a team of people behind them, rooting and pushing for them.

All leaders need supporters. All world-changing projects need groups of innovators and brave spirits. All great looks take a village of wildly creative stylists and designers. All breath-taking art is made by joint visions of creative wizards, geniuses and risk-takers.

That’s why sharing flowers is important - and especially when it comes to the creative world, where a big % of your success is dependent on who you know and in which rooms your name is mentioned.

Share credits, share opportunities, recommend people when they do a great job. Champion people for their talent, work ethic, loyalty and dedication. Champion them for their honesty and professional transparency. Open doors for them, make more space at the tables you sit at.

When you are at the top, share your flowers with those who helped you get there. From your assistants and colleagues who worked with you through the nights, to your friends who motivated you, to family who cooked you meals and embraced you. All support counts, recognising it is important. Saying thank you will be different to all of them, but make sure you find a way.

Believing the illusion that things come effortlessly and people make it all alone is useless - it might look like that from the outside though. Trying to fight and make it alone without sharing your burden or asking for help kills you slowly in the long run. It’s easier together and together we make it further.
